Have you ever wondered what an inter-generational jazz jam session would look and sound like? On April 11th the Guelph Youth Jazz Ensemble and the New Horizons Jazz Bands of Guelph will play some tunes for each other, then mix up their membership and jam out the night! Each group has been developing their own understanding of the jazz language since September. Some members are learning this language for the first time at 13 years of age and some at age 75, but all are experiencing the joy of making music together. At the core of music making is communication through listening and understanding what each other is saying/playing, all members work together regardless of age to create wonderful musical moments.
