HERMAN – Crawl inside the head of HERMAN (BOWJIA) as he reveals his most recent musical chapter. Using simply a synthesizer, 6-string bass, and looper, all music is performed live off the floor as an auditory expression of the personal struggles of natural escapism; an instrumentally explorative arrangement of compositions focusing on the internal battle between exploding infinitely outwards and collapsing completely within one’s self.
DENIS THE NIGHT & THE PANIC PARTY – is an idiosyncratic collective born two years ago on the road across Italy and United Kingdom from the power trio Ono Nora Fiorani, Nicola Sbrozzi and Alessandro Gobbi, seeking musical freedom with a project that could juxtapose elements from various genres like psychedelia, shoegaze, garage pop, electro and avant-garde.
The core trio soon evolved into a music and visual arts collective, featuring other like-minded artists with a simpatico disaffection for conventions, including photographer Giulia Delprato, visual artist Eddie Preti and film-makers Enzo Lauria and Karin El Taifiova.
Eschewing traditional norms in their music and image, they have unshackled themselves from straitjacket boundaries through their interchangeable talents, also drawing upon the invaluable technical support of producer Livio Magnini (Bluvertigo guitarist and producer of multiple Italian hits), Tommi Tea (formerly one half of the indomitable Bloody Beetroots) Antonella Lavini and Sara Colantonio with their companies: BlackPoisPromotions and Bassa Fedeltà.
Having toured Europe on the back of Hottrips, an EP of remixes spacing from Beck to Iggy Pop, plus a self-titled Lo-fi Live Cassette EP, Denis The Night & The Panic Party release their first EP on 3rd june under the Wall of Sound banner, the iconic English label who signed them in February.
Entitled Udu, the EP will be a dervish propeller of sonic raves and vocal landscapes before their mix of electro dream pop and noise is unleashed via a full length album, which will see the light the 10th of October with many surprises about it.
