**** Our Feature Guests this year are: ****
NKRUMAH – Hailing out of Toronto, Nkrumah has given everyone a musical disease called Reggaemylitis. Since then everyone has been rocking to the Nkrumah flow. Returning back to his fans in Guelph for some deep rub-a-dub vibes backed by
THE DUB CHRONICLES – A Deeply Rooted Dub Band out of Toronto that displays every instrument with just two people. An incredible thing to see for everyone. A Duo that has always been respected in the Reggae community.
TARIQ – The up and coming RnB crooner out of Kitchener-Waterloo has been rapidly taking recognition all across Canada with his big crossover dancehall single Felt So Good. Watch as he performs this Live and Direct.
DOC LANCE – Representing Kitchener’s Tropic Flava Soundcrew, Doc Lance has been the all around performer for his crew. Crossing over from Soca to Dancehall, Doc has given the masses songs like “In the Mood” and “Down De Road.” Always alot of energy in his performances.
**** Our Soundsystems ****
NICKY DREAD – A veteran Selector & Radio Personality all in one who has paved the way for many young selectors in the city today. Over 30 years under his belt as a DJ, and one of the “O-G’s” of 93.3 CFRU FM. His respect was large before many people were even born. You don’t believe me, just check his catalogue of music. We call him the Rodigan of Guelph.
Analog Soundsystem – Formed in 1993, the Soundsystem is still largely active today. Analog was arguably the first soundsystem to bring fluent hardcore Dancehall vibes to the City. This in turn created a platform for younger dancehall DJ’s to start their own DJ career in the city.
With the great Khadaffi, Docta Def and the selectors Jinx and Ghost, you are bound to get the most authetic vibes for the evening.
**** THE MC ****
Big John Needs no Introduction in the City, but for those who do not know who he is, Big John was behind many events of the yesteryear and even today.
Coming from a musical background, John’s family owned a Radio Station in Tobago. Big John was known for promoting parties all over the University of Guelph and the City in itself.
ADMISSION IS $5
