October 30 @ 6:00 pm
An event every day that begins at 6:00 pm, repeating until October 31, 2019
The Kazoo! Spoooktacular is back with two nights of hair-raising Halloween happenings. On Devil’s Night we’re gathering for Spooky cocktails and a candy buffet at Boarding House Gallery with sets from Korea Town Acid, Frosty Valentine, and Hymns57. And then on all hallows eve, we kick things off with a trick or treat opening reception for ‘Remedios’ by artist Erick García Gómez from 6-9pm at Capacity 3 Gallery and Ashlar Gallery. Later that night, we’ll be shivering under the covers at eBar with a killer lineup of local bands covering Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, The Cure, Dead Moon, and more. It’s two nights of harrowing mayhem 😈

KOREA TOWN ACID // soundcloud.com/koreatownacid
Korea Town Acid has been creating a buzz in the Toronto dance music community with her focused, captivating live shows and eclectic DJ sets. As a classically trained pianist with a passion for improvisation and sonic experimentation, Jessica Cho transcends the dance floor into a wholly unique avant garde journey. Over the last few years Cho has proven her versatility in dozens of Toronto venues performing solo, and with former live house duo CHOBO. We are very excited to be bringing her back to Guelph for Kazoo!’s Spoooktacular.
Frosty Valentine // instagram.com/frostyvalentine
Frosty Valentine has been retired from the cartoon industry for the past decade but is making a comeback this fall and already topping the pop charts! Frosty is delighted to play in Guelph for the first time ever at the Kazoo! Spoooktacular during her world tour! Frosty Valentine is a cartoon pop performance by Jesi Jordan.
Hymns57 // hymns57.bandcamp.com
Hymns57 is the sound venture project name for uncompromising Guelph artist Steven de Taeye, who’s a local, social advocate and arbiter of ambient noise and soundscape design. While working primarily with guitars and effects, Hymns57 often adopts field recording, found sounds and samples to orchestrate a multivariate sonic tapestry. For this special Kazoo Halloween presentation, expect Hymns57 to trudge into the caverns of dark ambient and spooky sounds.
