Doors: 7:30 PM
Show: 8:00 PM
Berlin-based composer, pianist and visual artist, John Kameel Farah will be playing at the Guelph Jazz Festival later this year, and as a prelude to this he’ll be presenting a show at Silence in two parts. The first half will be his compositions for piano, synthesizers and electronics, which draw upon aspects of Early Music, Arabic Music, improvisation and beat-driven electronics. As John is also a visual artist, the show will also be a small exhibition of his intricate ink line drawings, and the second half of the concert will feature Farah improvising to projected animations of his artwork.
