I wrote about Bailey Jordan-Neil back in September, describing him as a percussive guitar player with a terrific musical sense in how he builds the loops to perform his incredibly catchy songs. He’s back in town Monday, and it’s a show you don’t want to miss.
Jordan-Neil is touring in support of his Lucky EP, which is acoustic pop at its best, written and performed by an artist in control of their performance, and their music. Most striking is the way that the production isn’t some glossy production that is then impossible for him to recreate as a solo performer on stage. Live, he so effortlessly builds these arrangements and makes you feel like he’s backed by a full band.
Bailey has put together a solid collection of original songs and supplements them in his live set with songs by his pop idols, folks like Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, and Bob Dylan. This is the third of three scheduled dates at McCabe’s over the past two months, so if you haven’t seen him yet, you’ll want to. If you have seen him, then you’re already going. I’ll see you there!
