BIG BRAVE: http://bigbrave.ca/
Two guitars and drums yield a simplistic intensity, painting vivid images of desperation with thunderous distortion and disjointed rises and falls in melodic noise. It is a storm of intimacy, tempered by soft, passionate vocals that coat the chaos.
MAICA MIA: https://maicamia.bandcamp.com/
Dream-drone from behind the curtain. Maica Armata’s haunting, broken vocals and coarse fuzzed-out strumming are propelled – but slowly, slowly – by the powerful drumming of Jonny Paradise. Recently joined by GY!BE’s Mauro Pezzente on bass, Maicamia is the soundtrack to hot rainy nights in dark concrete caves.
CUPCAKE DUCTAPE:
Steph Yates and Alanna Gurr debut their blistering new punk pop project!
GORDON BROTHERS: https://themagic.bandcamp.com/
Would it be a Kazoo! party without the smooth retro soul sounds of the Gordon Brothers? The artists formerly known as ‘The Magic’ are back and getting ready to drop a new full length album of solid gold hits, you ready?
MARKER STARLING: http://www.tinangelrecords.co.uk/marker/
Toronto soul-pop artist Marker Starling (formerly Mantler) celebrates the release of his new album ‘Rosy Maze’. Melancholy party jams on a Wurltizer electric piano, from the one and only Marker Starling.
HANK: http://hankthepopgroup.bandcamp.com/
Formed in Toronto in 2002 by UK emigrant Jeremy Charles Singer and a collective of eight singers. Over the years Hank has morphed into a variety of forms, from a karaoke and guitar dance party to cinematic warehouse trance to all-girl garage rock to soulful five-piece and so on.
THE SKELETONES FOUR: http://theskeletonesfour1.bandcamp.com/
Soulful prog rock with off-kilter time signatures, SK4 craft heavy psych pop gems. Back from the ether, they are ready to unleash their new full length album ‘Petrified Forest’, get ready Guelph!
ARMY GIRLS: http://armygirls.bandcamp.com/
Garage pop so simple it reminds us how effective a duo of compact drums and ringing guitars can be. Carmen Elle (of Diana) and Andy Smith bring the hook heavy pop tunes that will make your summer.
DANNY FURY: http://dannyfury.bandcamp.com/
Wailing and furious rock and roll from Dan Paille of The Furys. Jarring and unexpected pop hooks are waiting around every corner.
