The Darren Hancock Band kicks up the dust at Guelph’s only true saloon, The Stampede Ranch in the north end of Guelph!
Heck -ya should get there early and try their smokehouse menu, I reck’n.
From an early age, Darren Hancock started to make music a part of his life, teaching himself to play guitar and sing. His first band “High Noon” played the Southwestern Ontario circuit heavily for 4 and a half years, appearing on local cable shows, festivals, and cutting their teeth in the local bar circuit, and receiving two Ontario Country Music Association (OCMA) nominations for “Bar Band of the Year”. Darren continued to progress his music as lead singer and lead guitarist in his second group “Moonshine”, and in a brief 5-year span helped the band win first place in the “Rising Country Superstar” contest, become the opening act for recording artists such as Julian Austin and Doc Walker, and win the Ontario Country Music Award for “Club Artist of the Year”.
Continuing to work with some of the top musicians in Canada, “The Darren Hancock Band” appears regularly in popular venues throughout Soutwestern Ontario, has been the opening act for top Canadian Country artists like Kira Isabella, Leah Daniels, The Road Hammers and CCMA award winner Dean Brody, and gaining new fans and friends along the way.
