    EMILY KEMP GROUP

    Emily Kemp has always been inspired by music from a young age. She achieved her advanced diploma in applied jazz vocals and has been performing and teaching for the past 10 years. She captivates her audience with her rich soulful voice and charismatic stage presence. Emily connects emotionally to her audience and seamlessly flows the vocals from genre to genre.

    Tom Altobelli is an upright and electric freelance bassist, currently situated in Hamilton, ON. He is a graduate of both the Humber College Bachelor of Music, and Mohawk College Music programs respectively, where he studied jazz, and majored in Bass performance. Tom is involved in a number of actively gigging projects, including The Altobeelays, Monkley Cascade, The Aubrey Wilson Quartet, The Ault Sisters, and also involved in many other projects (including his own original quintet called The Tom Altobelli Group), including both creative, and cover music alike. Tom is a versatile musician, who has dabbled in everything including country, folk, metal, hip hop, funk, latin, jazz, and of course classic rock. He has been playing the bass for over 12 years, and has a number of years of gigging experience, playing around the GTHA as well. His new EP,  Tom Altobelli: The HAVN Sessions was released in January 2016.

    Tyler Goertzen is a musician and drummer from Saugeen Shores, who now resides in Hamilton. He is a graduate of Humber College’s Bachelor of Music program in Toronto, where he studied with some of Canada’s most accomplished musicians, including: Barry Romberg, Kirk MacDonald, Gord Sheard, and Paul Delong. Tyler also spent several years studying with legendary drum guru Jim Blackley, who was essential in developing his musical approach. As a freelance musician, Tyler has had the privilege to perform internationally in the USA, in the UK, and onboard a Holland America cruise ship. He performs with many music acts from Toronto and Hamilton.

    Santiago Rozo is a Bolivian pianist and music producer currently living in Hamilton. He has been studying music since the age of 6 and has a wide range of influences. Having lived and performed in many countries, Santiago has always enjoyed creating in all kinds of musical diasporas but recently too focus in African American music ranging from jazz to hip hop and R&B. In Canada Santiago has been a part of several musical projects, accompanying singers/artists Andrea Mendez, Cassidy Taylor and Avery Williams in several performances and tours across Ontario. He completed his education as a jazz pianist at Mohawk College, while being mentored by several of Canada’s renowned jazz artists.
