The Folk (Guelph/Toronto)
So Young (London)
Cupcake Ductape (Guelph)
@ eBar (41 Quebec St.)
All Ages / LIC – Doors at 9:30pm
$12 / PWYC (Additional donations for Girls Rock Camp Guelph welcome)
Girls Rock Camp Guelph is happening March break 2016 and a very special fundraiser is happening Friday January 29th!
The camp will offer local female, trans, and gender nonconforming youth aged 10 – 13 a safe, supportive, and fun space to learn from experienced musicians, work towards a shared goal with a group of their peers, experiment musically, develop confidence, and play in a rock band for the first time! Girls Rock Camp believe that introducing a Girls Rock Camp to Guelph will impact the next generation of Guelph’s creative community in a way that addresses the gender disparity in our thriving, but predominantly male, rock music scene.

THE FOLK (guelph/toronto): thefolk.ca / thefolk.bandcamp.com
The Folk are people, communicating thoughts through pop and psychedelia. Feminine and masculine voices soulfully amalgamate and scream in unison. Every song is a colour, a glimpse into each personality that comprises their entity. Every Colour, Present Wonder is their new record. It was recorded at Montreal’s Hotel2Tango – and it rules.

SO YOUNG (london): soyoung.bandcamp.com
Hook laden indie pop rock from London, Ontario led by Paterson Hodgson. So Young bring together smart-pop-rock with thoughtful songwriting.

CUPCAKE DUCTAPE (guelph): cupcakeductape.bandcamp.com
Steph Yates + Alanna Gurr = Cupcake Ductape. It blistering. It’s bad-ass. It’s funny. It’s powerful. It rocks. It rolls. It challenges. It’s the best and it’s what you need. You need this. You really need this.
