On Saturday, June 25th, Guelph Black Heritage Society presents “A Guelph Tribute to the Music of MOTOWN at Royal City Church, 50 Quebec St, Guelph. As an irresistible force of social and cultural change, Berry Gordy’s legendary Motown made its mark not just on the music industry, but society at large, with a sound that has become one of the most significant musical accomplishments and stunning success stories of the 20th century.
The tribute will feature performances by D’Eve Archer, Rufus John, Geordie Gordon, Carey West, Savannah Clarke, Nicolette Hoang, Andrew Craig and Verese Vassell-Bowen. This talented group of musicians will be backed by the House Band led by Artistic Director Nathan Lawr.
Doors open at 7 pm and the show starts at 8 pm. Tickets in advance are $25 for adults, $15 for students. Tickets at the door are $30 for adults, $20 for students.
