ALLISON CAMERON
Originally from Vancouver, B.C., Allison Cameron studied in Amsterdam before moving to Toronto in 1989. Her compositions have been performed by, among others: ARRAYMUSIC, Sound Pressure, VENI Ensemble, Vancouver New Music, Les Coucous Bénévoles, Maarten Altena Ensemble, Barbara Pritchard, John Tilbury and the Bang On A Can All-Stars who commissioned her piece November which was premiered at Lincoln Center in 1994.
She has been invited as guest-artist at various international festivals including: Evenings of New Music and Melos-Ethos in Bratislava, Slovakia, New Music Marathon in Prague, Bang On A Can in New York City, Emerging Voices in San Diego, Sound Symposium, Newfoundland and New Music across America. She has music released on both the CRI and XI labels from NYC. In Toronto, she has established the Arcana Ensemble and co-founded the Drystone Orchestra – two new music ensembles devoted to the performance and creation of experimental music.

NICOLE RAMPERSAUD
Trumpet Player and Composer, Nicole Rampersaud is frequently sought after for her original and versatile voice in the jazz and improvised music scenes, and is an in demand performer in cities across Canada and the United States. Past and current collaborators read like a who’s who of today’s leading artists: Anthony Braxton, Evan Parker, Rakalam Bob Moses, Django Bates, Marilyn Lerner, Joe Morris and Jean Martin, to name a few. She has also performed in some of the most prestigious venues in North America including: New York’s Lincoln Center, Berklee Performance Center in Boston, and Massey Hall in Toronto.
She has also worked actively to promote the improvised music community in Toronto, sitting on the Board of Directors for the Association of Improvising Musicians, Toronto, and co-curating the long running Leftover Daylight Series.

GERMAINE LIU
Germaine Liu is a Toronto-based percussionist and composer. Her musical interests primarily involve collaborative improvisation and composition informed by sonic and gestural connections, as well as by the sense of touch and movement. Her recent work focuses on the relationships between human and instrumental bodies by developing environment-specific pieces, which explore the sounds inherent in the materials and the space. As a percussionist, Liu has performed as a soloist, as well as with many acclaimed musicians, such as Rémy Bélanger de Beauport, Anne Bourne, Matt Brubeck, Thomas Charmetant, Peggy Lee, John Oswald, Danielle Palardy Roger, Joe Sorbara, Scott Thomson, and many others. She performs regularly in a number of Toronto-based ensembles, including the AIMToronto Orchestra, Wet Dog’s Dream Dance, Open House, Rob’s Collision, and Octopus.
