Jennis will unveil some new material as we warm up for our first Western-Canada tour. Come join us for some groovy vibes!
“I’ve seen lots of bands over the past 40 years, everyone from the Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd to Merle, Haggard and Lisa Minnelli — and I have to say that watching Jennis perform was truly one of the best musical experiences I have ever had.”
~ Bruce Boucher
President, Kingston Blues Society
“What do you get when you combine some talented songwriting, warm, rich vocals along with a resophonic guitar, cello, jaw harp and even a didgeridoo? A unique and impressive blend of folk, roots and bluesy sounds served up as a fine, entertaining evening of Jennis music.”
~ Debra Thornington
Director, Ottawa Blues Society

The Banjo Mechanics began in 1995 when Ian Pattison and Lewis Melville laid their banjos down on the highway and successfully subdued a herd of stampeding tractor-trailers. A recorded version of the event was included in the DROG “Truck Songs” compilation.
The playing didn’t stop there… In 2001, Ian and Lewis performed open-heart surgery on the 5-string with an assortment of power tools (many early morning jam sessions) and released an audio recording of the operation known as ‘Workitis’. Since then, the Banjo Mechanics have continued to be Canadian Banjo prospectors and as of 2014 released their first full-length album, ‘JLP’.
