Silence and Folk Roots Radio are pleased to welcome Singer-songwriter Jory Nash back to Guelph for a show at Silence on November 6 with support from Jane Lewis.

Jory Nash is an award-winning singer-songwriter and storyteller who blends elements of folk, jazz, blues, pop & soul into an original stew of sound. Jory Nash plays acoustic guitar, piano and banjo and his warm, unique voice urges you to listen to his thoughtful lyrics and intricate melodies. He has recorded 8 critically acclaimed albums, the most recent being his Spring 2015 release The Many Hats of Jory Nash.
“The Many Hats Of Jory Nash” is a beautifully textured album of folk and folk-pop, in the classic singer-songwriter tradition featuring excellent songs with a wonderfully warm and playful sound, clever lyrical hooks and excellent musicianship. Jory has been nominated for Contemporary Singer of the Year and Producer of the Year at CFMA for “The Many Hats Of Jory Nash”. The album title pays homage to Jory’s extensive hat collection.

Jane Lewis
Guelph-based singer-songwriter Jane Lewis built a reputation as a fabulous backup/harmony singer, before moving to centre stage with the development of her own solo career. She released her debut, the critically-acclaimed “Stay With Me” in September 2014. Stay With Me is a piano-based folk-pop-roots album that blends engaging melodies and well-crafted lyrics, with gorgeous production that allows the vocals to stand up against the beautifully well-balanced musical accompaniment. Jane Lewis recently won an Independent Music Award for Best Cover Song for her version of the Beatles “Come Together”.
