    JPA TRIO
Andrew Schoettler is a drummer with over 12 years of experience under his belt and a solid musical background playing genres such as Jazz, Funk, Latin, Pop, and Rock. He first started his musical career at the age of 7, and later on studied with various drummers such as Nick Macerollo and Dave O’Neill. He has played at multiple venues such Hillside Festival, Manhattans, Rhythm & Brews, and various events, most of which he played with Valet Quartet. He is transitioning into his 3rd year at University of Guelph, while maintaining his musical career by performing with Jonathan and Patrick, as well as collaborating with an up-and-coming Indie Rock band, “Kids On A High”.
Patrick Psihogios You probably don’t know Patrick and you probably don’t know any of his collaborators, but that doesn’t change the fact that this free-lance bassist has over 56 years performing experience in such diverse genres as pop, bluegrass, folk, big band, jazz and salsa.
Jonathan Chung was introduced to the piano at the age of 5 and by the age of 15, he had achieved his Grade 10 with First Class Honours from the Royal Conservatory of Music. He then began exploring jazz and quickly fell in love with its improvisatory and expressive nature. A self-taught jazz pianist, Jonathan enjoys songs that evoke emotions and are harmonically complex, with his greatest musical influences being Debussy, Rachmaninoff, Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock, among others. He is an experienced musician having performed jazz at various venues across Guelph and Toronto including restaurants, bars, private events, restaurants, and hospitals. In addition, he is also the keyboardist for Shebad, a band based in Guelph specializing in neo-jazz compositions, which has exposed him to the world of music production and modern-era jazz. Jonathan is also a recent graduate from the University of Guelph, where he studied Biomedical Sciences. While he aspires to attend medical school one day to become a physician, there is no doubt that music will stay with him for the rest of his life.
