Noon Hour Concerts: Naomi & The Scavengers
June 30 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Naomi and The Scavengers are a four-piece band based in Guelph. Naomi bought her first guitar in 2020 just days before the province went into lockdown. She discovered a passion for songwriting during the months of isolation. The band formed in the spring of 2022, just as pandemic restrictions began to lift. The band consists of four members: Naomi Dyon on vocals and guitar, Matt Reeves on bass, Anthony Ferreira on drums, and local legend Harri Palm (kindly filling in for Alex Iverson on lead guitar).
The Scavengers draw inspiration from a variety of genres including rock, folk and alternative country. Their songs address topics such as love, loss and challenges of living in the modern world. Despite their often-serious subject matter, Naomi and The Scavengers always manage to infuse their songs with a sense of hope and optimism. With their infectious melodies and dynamic live performances, Naomi and The Scavengers are quickly becoming one of the most exciting bands in Guelph!
