PRACTICE WIFE / ONE THOUSAND TIMES GOODNIGHT / BATHROOM BOYS

September 24, 2023 @ 6:00 pm

The Satellite  Collective
This time we have heavy indie rock, Midwest emo and mutant math grooves.

Practice Wife.
Toronto.
The band was formed in 2012 and named by Steve Albini during a recording session in Chicago. They blend the heavy 90s indierock of Unwound, Polvo and Shelac with 80s pioneers Wipers and Mission of Burma. Cynical lyrics and urgent guitar explorations in a minimal rock trio format. A tightrope balance of driving rhythm and searing melody through cranked Hi-Watt amplifiers.

One Thousand Times Goodnight
St Catharines.
“We’re a band that combines the sounds of Midwest emo, hardcore, and rock to create a palatable and energetic listening experience.
We’re all in current bands: Kawthra, iburiedyourflowers, Mushroom Valley”

Bathroom Boys
Guelph
Instrumental bass and drum duo.
A playful prog-punk and mutant funk influenced by the holy trinity of Primus, Propagandhi, and Tim & Eric.
“Dr. Fill and Steve Basscemi accidentally started jamming during the middle of the pandemic. They didn’t know what they we’re doing when they began and still don’t to this day. “

Sunday Dept 24 – 5:30pm
Planet Bean – 2 Wyndham St N Guelph

$10/pwyc
All-Ages

Be excellent to each other.
Have a good time all the time.

Satellite Collective is a group of friends who volunteer our time in hopes to make Guelph cooler. We present an all-ages loud show on the last Sunday of each month. We hope to add another accessible venue to the city and want to inspire others to start bands, put on cool shows and do great things.
