After years of infancy, self-discovery, time together and time apart; the sounds emerging from House Art Collective are eclectic, reminiscent, and personal. Heavily focusing on the stories and memories of young life, and with a backward glance to the days before their birth, House Art Collective’s sound – and presence – is one to be heard and seen to be fully understood.
Ever expanding and collapsing, House Art Collective’s sound and feeling changes with every breath and pulse. Drawing on major contemporary influences such as Broken Social Scene, Arcade Fire, Justin Vernon, Grizzly Bear, and Kathleen Edwards, the band combines experimental rock, indie-pop, and post punk attitudes. With a nod to artists such as David Bowie, Neil Young, and Daniel Lanois, they blend these colours with their own stories and voices to create their own sonic stamp.
